My Very Short Summer
It's been a while since I updated my blog. I blame this on dial up and not having time to just fool around online while in Orlando. I want to make a post on recent world events later. Now, for what I have been up to:
Got out of UF last Friday, got quite a work out bringing all my stuff down 3 flights of stairs with nothing in me but sushi. At home, I had to prep for my internship. I searched all over southern Baton Rouge for an apartment via web. Found the best place is the same place two other interns are staying at. So carpooling will be a plus. I also have a good amount of paperwork to do: a huge packet just to get past the nuclear power plant's security as well as Dept. of Justice and other forms. Phil said he'd give me ten bucks if I yelled "PRAISE ALLAH! MY TASK IS COMPLETE!" on the last day. I'd probably get tackled by plant security and spend the rest of my life in Cuba, but on the plus side, I'd have his 10 bucks. Also have a drug screening lined up for tomorrow.
I have also been hanging out with friends as much as I can over this week off. I went to Tijuana Flats with Steve and hung out at his house / AT&T mLife store. I went to a Chinese Restraunt with Phil and hung out at his house playing X-Box, watching Simpsons / Aqua Teen Hunger Force. And tomorrow I will go over to the UCF area to hang out with Dave. I wish I could of gotten together with several of my highschool friends at once. But one is in Germany and another in Chile. Also, BMHS grad is on next Sunday, which I cannot attend. A group of my friends are going, but I will be in Baton Rouge by then.
