In Baton Rouge
Tomorrow @ 7am my internship starts at the River Bend nuclear power plant. I arrived in Baton Rouge Friday. (Post on I-10 to come later) The furniture I am renting arrived yesterday, which meant I spent the first night in my apartment in a sleeping bag. My apartment is freakin' huge; it has two floors and all the usual amenities. Since I was in a dorm up until now, my apartment still looks barren since I had no use for a big TV, I brought the 13" I had in my dorm.
The people that live around me are awesome. The entire row seems to know each other. So far I have spent two nights in Baton Rouge, and there was a party each night. Btw, Louisiana girls can cook! Spaghetti, jambalaya, and sirloin steak stir-fry, so good... There is like, no point in me cooking anymore. But I shall still attempt it. Also, lots of Anti-UF sentiment here. Prob due to the fact that UF was the only team to beat LSU, the Baton Rouge team that won the national championship.
I have not signed up with anyone for internet access in my apartment yet, I may get BellSouth, $14.95 / mo. So until then, I will not have access to AIM. How am I even making this post then? Well, my apartment complex does have a computer lab, but it's at their front office which is very far away, so I will not come here often. Can't install programs, so no AIM here.
