Surgery, Speeding Ticket
Well, I went to Orlando today for surgery on my foot, It was kinda cool, seeing a laser beam go into it, smelling burning flesh, and seeing smoke rise from my foot while I couldn't feel anything. However, getting to that state of feeling nothing was very painful: needles going into the bottom of my foot. After that, we celebrated my dad's birthday, he's 59. We went to a Mexican restaurant and had cake at out house to celebrate. My sister had class and my mom was working late so they couldn't come.
The traffic on the way down and back up was very nice. The day after a three day weekend is a great day to travel; everyone has already gotten back so they could work today. Who would go on the interstate after a holiday has ended? Usually it's on the last day of a holiday. I was speeding most of the time. Less than 1 mile from Gainesville, on the trip back, a cop got me. The guy was hiding with no lights on near some bushes. 1 mile from Gainesville! I am so pissed. Like, speeding due to medical reasons should be excused... sort of. But I didn't argue; I just took the ticket like a man, lol. But what could of happened within like 3/4 of the exit? I had already driven over 100 miles. Yeah I know, a lot of things could of happened. But if a ball falls into a bucket from a ledge 100 times out of 100 tries, odds are it will fall into the bucket on the 101st try as well. Yeah, that's being somewhat sarcastic, but the cop asked me if my speedometer was working. When are we going to get teleportation? Damn! I really could use that now. Instantly go to Orlando and back, no cops required. Anyways, I am really frustrated right now, and I am going to try to write something on Bush's State of the Union address. Oh, and the cop pulled me over during it, so I missed most of his domestic issues. UF should like take over Gainesville. This town seems to despise students. Stupid laws everywhere, gas is 1.79 / gallon, regular. It should be lowered to something reasonable. Then UF could banish traffic cops. Keep the cool cops, like the ones that are involved in CSI, etc. But banish the traffic cops to someplace evil. Well, Gainesville is evil. So I guess... Banish them to someplace nice but far away. Oh what the hell, banish them to an evil place far away: Maybe hell. Yeah! Hell is a great place for them! yay! I bet most students would support that. :P
