  Freedom at last

Yes! 5 weeks of exams have finally ended with this morning's exam. I am so relieved! I just got back from a toddler party..... Yeah, that;s where I go, lol. Actually, it was for Halloween, KGB had to attend. And my only class for tomorrow is cancelled!!! Today is a good day! Oh, this is somewhat amusing.

  Calendar Added

I just spent the past two hours adding a calendar to this blog so now it will be easier for you to navigate. *Sigh* I really should be doing other things, considering my room is a mess and I have a circuits exam on Tuesday. I hope you're happy! Here I am, disregarding my life just so you can navigate through pages more efficiently. Now that is true devotion! Laying down one's life for someone who you don't even know! lol

Tall people: Superior or Soon to be Endangered?

Heh heh, I just read the dumbest editorial a few minutes ago. It all started with a study that tall people make more money than shorter people b/c we make better leaders. (We also have more kids, yay, lol) Well, that study pissed off some midgets apparently and they started writing back, then the tall people wrote back arguing against the midget people. This is so dumb.... lol.

Below are two editorials. I think they are just satire (hopefully) but it's much more funny if u take it seriously.
Some Retorts to the articles
Tall people are not going to go extinct b/c we need more food! Do we even need more food? If there is ever a world food shortage, which I doubt will be anytime soon, if ever, it's the people who can't afford food or don't have access to it that will die, not tall people.
And a Rant
What the heck is it with short people and superiority complexes? Hitler and Napoleon were both very short. Why do short people always want to conquer the world? I don't know how tall Saddam was, but I bet he was short as well. I'm glad tall people are much more rational. Instead of using military power to take over, we do it economically, through promotions in the workplace and the select few of us who play basketball very well. But then u ask what are short people good for? Well, since short people constantly try to take over the world, they should never be promoted to positions of leadership, instead, they should be put in arenas to fight amongst themselves. There is nothing funnier than midgets fighting amongst themselves or 100 midgets pulling a 747. heh heh.

-Joe

PS: I am kidding! This is satire!

Anyways, Here are the two editorials in the Alligator:
Tall people face unfair burdens
Editor: So tall people make more money than short people. Well, the costs heavily outweigh the benefits.

I was scarred as a child because I was too big to play in the McDonald's playpen; all of the other kids had so much fun. I've almost killed myself fetching heavy items on the top shelf that some short person asked for. For some reason, everyone asks me if I play basketball, and people mistakenly direct leadership responsibilities toward me.

To top it off, a short friend of mine recently revealed to me that short people can do things in bed that tall people can't, like fit on one.

The extra money just isn't worth being tall. I wish I were a midget. Maybe then my miniature golf game would improve.

Short people will one day surpass tall
Editor: Tall people think it's great, abusing the bantams of the world by taking their money. We small folk will have our big day.

Size has been evolutionarily unfavorable at several points in history, like during the last Ice Age. Then bigger people starved first because they required more nutrients. With global warming, the Iraq war and people breeding like rabbits, there will soon be a grand-scale food shortage.

Then, Goliaths will fall like flies because they require more calories, but the petite will survive. It's hard to dunk a basketball when you're dead. And we'll be the only team not six feet under.

Reactor Systems Exam and the Party afterwards

Well, Vernetson said no one has ever gotten a perfect score on his exams, but now i am questioning whether anyone has gotten higher than a B. That exam was so freaking hard, everyone who went to the afterparty said they failed. We made bets on who got the lowest score, how sad is that? But the afterparty was lots of fun.... my head hurts..... either the beer or the hour.... in any case, party was fun... sleep is fun, and usefull too!..... off I to go to bed.

"Birthday / Congrats, you're out of the Hospital" Dinner, Commie Chomsky, Comments up for Blog

Finally, my roommate got back from a Tampa Hospital. He had IV's and junk in him (Sorry Steve), but now he seems well. We had a surprise party for him at Don Pablos right after our KGB meeting. It was a surprise very nicely planned by his girlfriend, Alicia. The surprise was almost ruined when Carly, Dustin, and I forget to bring Juan, he had to get a ride with Alicia and the plan was for Alicia to bring Steve on a quite "date" type dinner. Luckily, Juan said that he had to go to the mall and asked if Alicia and Steve could drop him off, even tho it was 9:30 and the mall closed at 9, lol. Anyways, he was surprised, much fun was had, I am full. yay.

Some Commie named Chomsky from MIT came to UF yesterday to talk, I wanted to see him but I had an RWH: Mardi Gras meeting. Chomsky the Commie, sounds kinda funny.... Damn Commie Bastards... Anyways, I heard he was a snore so I guess I didn't miss much.

And finally, after much frustration and trials involving messed up tables (don't ask) I now have comments up for my blog. yay. Yes, that's what I have spent my time doing since I got back, and I have a reactor systems exam tomorow (10/23) which the professor has said that no one has ever gotten a perfect score on, the seniors say his tests are impossible, ..sigh... and I have spent the night working on a blog, watching Family Guy and Futurama. Well, it's a night exam; that's what tomorrow is for! (yes, if I dillude myself this way, I won't feel bad, you should try it, it works! lol :P) hey, i have a great schedule tomorrow, it just might work.

Never Ending Exams, Wholesome Fundamentalist Christian oddness

I just realized something today. I have had an exam in each subject I am taking each week stating three weeks ago. My last class' exam is this week, which is reactor systems; three weeks ago I had a circuits exam. Next week is Circuits exam 2. AGH!!!! When does it end! No break between round 1 of exams and round two! In addition to that, I just realized I lost my 179 dollar calculator Friday night.

Yeah, I don't like complaining either, so I'll try to keep it to a minimum unless it's humorous rants. On a lighter note, do you want some Fundamentalist Christian oddness? This site is so wholesome it's funny. Apparently, the earth is less than 10,000 years old, the T-Rex was a herbivore, Hindus are going to hell, and fossils are the reminants of the men who died when the Noah's Ark flood came about, horribly transformed I might add. It's amazing what some people come up with. I'm glad I'm Catholic and not this Baptist-sect that appears, from their main site, to be fighting a war with Tricalvinists and Landover Baptists....

Start of Blog, Weekend Camping Trip

Hey, I just started a blog today. I was greatly assisted by Branille, (thanks!!!) She's awesome. Well, let's get to it: My weekend was good. I went camping with a bunch of people from nuclear engineering from UF. It's rather funny to see drunk engineers, lol. Getting there was quite hard. It was "sort of" in High Springs. Check out the last segment of the directions:

298th goes about 2 or 3 miles south until you get to a point where you either turn right on the pavement or go straight into the dirt... go right. then there will be a weird little curvy intersection in the road which ends in dirt... go right here, and then you are on a dirt road... make the first left (80th ave, i think)

head straight until you are back on pavement, then make the second right (21st st?)... this road curves to the left, and the woods you are looking for are at the end on the left (the last ones before the stop sign). both "lots" (9 and 10) are fair game-- it's 20 acres-- but i would look for the cars and find someone living! :)

There was still two unnamed roads to go on b4 getting to the campsite. But it was great, there was a huge campfire, fun people, definitely something I'd want to do again. Oh, also one of my roommates got back from a Tampa hospital this weekend. Yay. He had strep throat and mono... better now, I feel a little bad tho, after I greeted him I washed my hand right in front of him, it was actually b/c I was eating chicken just before he arrived. I didn't mean for it to look like I was disgusted!
